“Phao Bhum” explains that the “State Road” app is not down.

Bangkok, 'Phao Bhumi', Deputy Minister of Finance, confirmed that he is ready and confident to support registration for the 10,000 baht top-up project via digital wallet on the first day tomorrow (August 1). The 'Thang Rat' app did not crash. Today's outage was just a system reset. Mr. Paopum Rojanasakul, Deputy Minister of Finance, revealed about the registration for the 10,000 baht top-up project, digital wallet, tomorrow (1 Aug 67) starting at 08.00 hrs. with the "Tang Rath" application that he confirmed that it is ready and confident that it will definitely support the registration of a large number of people. As for the "Tang Rath" application malfunctioning during the middle of today, it was a system reset to update the version to be a queue system, which was planned in advance, not a system problem. 'Previously, the 'State' app did not have a queuing system. The system will be reset again between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. tonight to update the queuing system version that will check with the house reg istration. Everything will be ready at 8:00 a.m. to allow people to register to participate in the 10,000 baht digital top-up project. The system will require the input of the national ID card number, verify the person's face before sending it to the population registration, and must receive a response from the population registration first, which takes time. Therefore, it will be set as a queuing system. After that, the username and password creation process will be completed,' said Mr. Pao Bhum. The Deputy Minister of Finance said that the National Cyber ??Security Agency (NCSA) and internal government agencies are jointly reviewing the stability of the registration system. If a large number of people register tomorrow (August 1), it is believed that the 'State' app will be able to support it. Meanwhile, the Department of Provincial Administration's population registration data verification system can support the verification of 5 million people's data per day. In addition, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE) and the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) (DGA) will set up a war room to monitor the registration situation in the digital wallet project, especially to support any unexpected events from registration and identity verification. The government has opened a 1111 call center to answer all questions from the public. The project website www.digitalwallet.go.th will also display complete registration information and project details. The public can study and follow all the details. As for concerns that if the household registration is moved to the current residential area to facilitate spending in the project, while the ID card information does not match the moved household registration, it will be impossible to spend in the project, Mr. Pao Bhum confirmed that people who have moved their household registration do not need to make a new ID card in order for the information on the front of the card to match the moved household registration because the system will check the population registration database of the Department of Provincial Administration. If all the information matches, it will be confirmed that it is the real person according to the ID card. Mr. Pao Bhumi said that this week, there will be discussions with various financial institutions about the payment platform to support payments within the project. The use of digital money is still confirmed according to the original timeline, which is within the fourth quarter of 67. After this, there will be continuous clarification of the project in various parts to prevent confusion among the public. Source: Thai News Agency
