IRPC invests in startup Cleantech and Beyond

Bangkok, IRPC announced an investment in a 'startup' business, Cleantech and Beyond Co., Ltd., using IRPC's intellectual property (IP) from research conducted in collaboration with the Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC). Mr. Kris Imsang, Chief Executive Officer and President of IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), revealed that IRPC has announced an investment in Cleantech and Beyond Co., Ltd. (Cleantech and Beyond). This investment is the use of IRPC's intellectual property (IP) which is derived from research conducted in collaboration with Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) to convert into additional shares in Cleantech and Beyond Co., Ltd. in the proportion of 27.3 percent. In addition to this investment being in line with the strategic plan to seek new business opportunities in startup companies to expand the business and create strong growth for the company, it is also in line with the plan to create long-term growth and respond to megatrends with innova tions in advanced materials for the preventive maintenance industry, such as those used to attach to machinery or equipment to prevent fires or damage to equipment, and the logistics industry by attaching to products that must be stored at low temperatures, such as wine, food, and vaccines. 'Investing in Cleantech and Beyond will expand the company's growth and business development. It will be able to apply research results for commercial benefits through investment mechanisms in startup businesses, leading to progress in the company's investment strategy to seek new business opportunities, in line with the vision of 'Creating innovations in the use of materials and energy for a perfect life,' said Mr. Kris. Cleantech and Beyond is a startup company that is a result of joint research between IRPC and Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) to develop Digital Temperature Indicator (DTI) technology that can detect temperature and display the result by changing color when the temperature ex ceeds the set value. It is connected to RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system, allowing it to check objects in bulk (Bulk Level) at once and importantly, it cannot be reversed. It is considered a type of Data Logger that helps to monitor the working condition of equipment, products and individual objects (item-level) efficiently. With the feature of wireless communication and operation without battery power, it is currently applied in the preventive maintenance industry and the logistics industry.
