MEA builds underground power lines, Soi Chula 12 – in front of the statue of King Rama VI, Lumpini Park

MEA or the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, is implementing a project to change the overhead power lines to underground power lines in Soi Chulalongkorn 12 and in front of the statue of King Rama VI, Lumphini Park, to be completed in August 2024. The signing is part of the improvement and development of the electrical system with related innovative technol ogy for use in educational areas and commercial areas, covering a total area of ??1,153 rai, surrounded by Rama IV Road - Rama I Road - Banthat Thong Road - Henri Dunant Road. The scope of operations also includes the development of a solar power generation system and the installation of an energy storage system. The development of the Intelligent Metering System (AMI) and the development of the Smart Grid system can control and resolve electrical system failures automatically, along with managing electricity usage efficiently.
