A loud noise resembling an explosion occurred in a shipyard in Pathum Thani, injuring six people.

Pathum Thani, Last evening, there was a loud noise similar to an explosion in a shipyard in the Sam Khok area of ??Pathum Thani. An inspection found that it was an explosion of iron, which caused sparks to fly into the hull of a ship that was under repair, causing a fire. Six people were injured. Volunteers from the Por Tek Tung Foundation rushed to transport the injured from the shipyard and maintenance company in Bang Krabue Subdistrict, Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani Province, to the hospital. Most of them were injured from the fire and smoke inhalation. There were a total of 6 injured people. The scene of the incident was a large shipyard built on an area of ??several tens of rai. Outside, there was a fence around the perimeter. When the Sam Khok Police Station arrived, the company did not allow rescue workers and outsiders to enter, saying that the fire had been extinguished. Later, Mr. Khomsan Yanawatana, Deputy Governor of Pathum Thani, along with Mr. Saran Ketthong, District Chief of Sam Khok, tr aveled to the scene. The District Chief of Sam Khok called the company owner to ask to go in and inspect the inside with rescue workers and a medical team. In the end, the company owner agreed to open the door to let them in for inspection along with relevant agencies, including the police, public health, the village headman, the mayor of the sub-district administrative organization, and rescue foundation officials, but they still forbade the media from entering. Initial inquiries with the workers revealed that at the time of the incident, there were approximately 7-8 workers working. During that time, there was a fire in the oil tank in the engine room at the rear of the ship, before there was an explosion and a violent fire. After about 1 hour, at around 6:00 p.m., the district chief came back out and said that it was not an explosion, but an iron rustling, which caused sparks to fall into the hull of the ship that was under repair, causing a fire. It is estimated that 6-7 workers who were working were no t able to escape in time and were injured, as there were more than 10 rooms on the ship, which were cramped and difficult to escape. However, after receiving a report that there might be workers trapped inside, officers with oxygen tanks were contacted to thoroughly inspect the ship, and no additional injuries were found.
