Police prepare to summon the volunteer defense corps member who used a gun to point at the head and physically assault a young man who was a friend of his girlfriend to acknowledge the charges. Following the case of Mr. Phontep, aged 24, who filed a complaint with the Muang Loei Police Station that Mr. Peeradon, aged 37, a Pathum Thani Defense Volunteer, used a gun to come to his house looking for his girlfriend and used a gun to attack her, smashing the windshield of his pickup truck until it was damaged. After the incident, he took his girlfriend and fled. Reporters followed up on the progress and found that after the incident, he took his girlfriend to stay at a hotel at 3:40 a.m. on October 19, 2014 and threatened his girlfriend with a handgun. The hotel staff saw him and notified the police to come and inspect and arrest him along with a handgun and 12 rounds of ammunition. He was charged with carrying a weapon in a city, village or public area openly or without reasonable cause. He was taken with the evidence to the investigator for legal proceedings and sent to detention at the Loei Provincial Court. He was released on bail before it was discovered that it was the same person who used a gun to threaten and assault Mr. Phontep at his house.
