Bangkok: Phyathai Hospital Group and Paolo Hospital Group are advancing healthcare innovation with the launch of 'Addwise Comorbid,' an intelligent medical assistant platform designed as a Clinical Intelligence Platform to help doctors systematically assess and identify comorbidities across nine key body systems. This platform offers doctors a comprehensive view of patients' health information and connects them with specialists and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) as appropriate, enhancing the accuracy, safety, and continuity of care.
According to Thai News Agency, the launch of Addwise Comorbid marks a significant step in healthcare transformation within Thailand. It builds upon the foundation of a Digital Health Ecosystem that connects patient care across various dimensions, from Health Up, which facilitates easier access to healthcare services at network hospitals, to Telecare, which expands access to doctors through online consultations. This connectivity enables healthcare to reach patients both inside and outside the hospital, reflecting a growing reliance on digital solutions.
The hospital network's journey has reached a milestone with Health Up surpassing 1 million cumulative downloads, showcasing the growth of digital healthcare access. By progressing from a Digital Health Ecosystem to an Intelligent Health Ecosystem with Addwise Comorbid, the integration enhances Clinical Intelligence, combining health data, clinical intelligence, and physician expertise. This development aids doctors in gaining a holistic understanding of patients, swiftly identifying potential hidden risks, and providing personalized care.
Dr. Anantasak Apairat, Chief Medical Officer of Phyathai Hospital Group and Paolo Hospital Group, emphasized the complexity of current healthcare challenges. Patients often exhibit multiple comorbidities or risk factors that may not be immediately apparent. Therefore, a shift towards a holistic understanding of patient health is necessary, aligning with the Value-Based Healthcare model, which aims to optimize individual health outcomes.
Dr. Anantasak highlighted that Addwise Comorbid is not merely a new platform but a crucial component in elevating the healthcare ecosystem to a new standard of care. The approach is linked to the Partner for Life concept, which views hospitals as partners in understanding and continuously caring for patients throughout their health journey.
Dr. Jet John Thepsongwat, Director of Medical Information and Communication at Phyathai 2 Hospital, stated that Addwise Comorbid systematically upgrades patient care software. It enables doctors to view health data comprehensively and assess comorbidity risks. With algorithms based on Evidence-Based Medicine, the platform aids in organizing data and highlighting risk factors for further investigation, supporting clinical decision-making.
Dr. Tuantosapon Suwanjuta, Director of Medical Standards at Phyathai Hospital and Paolo Hospital Group, introduced the concept of the "Longevity Assistant" (LA), a role that bridges data and technology with actual care. Acting as Clinical Navigators, LAs connect patients, doctors, and the Addwise Comorbid platform, ensuring comprehensive information is available for accurate evaluation and treatment.
The hospital network has also developed the Addwise Comorbid Academy to set standards for implementing the system practically. This includes physician training, developing Longevity Assistant capabilities, and a certification system, aligning technology, personnel, and care processes under the same standards.
This milestone in the Intelligent Health Ecosystem by Phyathai and Paolo Hospital Groups combines decades of medical experience with data, technological innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. It establishes a New Standard of Care that integrates "data, technology, and the spiritual expertise of the physician," offering a comprehensive understanding of patients beyond apparent illness and delivering personalized care.
