Anutin Addresses DSI’s Forex Scam Revelations Involving Political and Entertainment Figures

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul has denied any political involvement in the Department of Special Investigation's (DSI) recent revelations linking prominent figures from the entertainment and political sectors to a Forex trading scam. He stressed that these are matters for the authorities to handle, indicating that the Prime Minister's direct involvement could result in political complications.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul commented on the upcoming press conference organized by the Ministry of Justice and the DSI concerning the Forex investment solicitation case. This announcement is set to disclose details about individuals connected to political and entertainment circles. Anutin expressed surprise at the revelations, reiterating that these issues fall under the jurisdiction of the DSI. He underscored that it is not the Prime Minister's role to personally pursue these criminal activities, as this could lead to political entanglement. The responsibility, he asserted, lies with the police and law enforcement agencies to investigate and suppress crime effectively.
