Anutin Asserts Legal Compliance After Seri Phisut’s Khao Kradong Reclamation Attempt

Buriram: Anutin Charnvirakul declared that no one is above the law after Seri Phisut stormed Newin's house to reclaim Khao Kradong. He viewed it as a right to act according to his beliefs, pointing out that court rulings are binding on a case-by-case basis and everyone must comply; no one can violate them. He added that the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) must file its own lawsuit.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, in his capacity as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, commented on the incident involving Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyaves, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, demanding the return of Khao Kradong and visiting the home of Buriram United Football Club president, Newin Chidchob, in Buriram province. He stated that everyone has the right to do what they believe in. Regarding the Khao Kradong issue and the alleged collusion in the Senate elections, both are already in the judicial process. Everyone must abide by the court rulings. No one is above the law, and no one can violate the law.

When asked whether the Ministry of Transport had reported on the progress of reclaiming the land plots one by one, Mr. Anutin said that it was a matter for the State Railway of Thailand to report to the Ministry of Transport. He added that the Ministry of Interior and the Department of Land had been reporting continuously, but that the court ruling was not binding, as some people were trying to mislead the public. "The court ruling is binding on a plot-by-plot basis. The ruling concerned a lawsuit filed by villagers against the State Railway to obtain land titles, and the court ruled against issuing them. To assume that all other plots are illegally owned is incorrect. The State Railway must sue each plot individually, which is currently being done. The court has issued a ruling, and everyone must abide by it. No one can violate it," Mr. Anutin stated.
