Anutin Charnvirakul Highlights Sacrifice of Thai Soldiers in Border Clashes

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the voice of the Thai military community, praised Thai soldiers as heroes, emphasizing their sacrifices in recent clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border. Anutin, who serves as both Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, stressed that these soldiers, who laid down their lives in the line of duty, deserve to be honored and their families should be supported.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the importance of compensating and holding accountable the sacrifices made by the soldiers. He dismissed the escalating retaliatory statements made by Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen, focusing instead on Thailand’s commitment to caring for its citizens and maintaining its sovereignty.

Addressing the public, Anutin reiterated that the loss of soldiers is a grave cost to the nation, one that requires recognition and responsibility. He assured that the Thai government would take full responsibility for the care of the families of the fallen soldiers, ensuring they receive the honor and support they deserve.
