Anutin Oversees Delivery of Essential Goods to Earthquake Victims in Bangkok

Bangkok: “Anutin” receives consumer goods from Sahapat Group and delivers them to Bangkok to help alleviate the suffering of the people affected by the earthquake. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, received consumer goods from Mr. Wichai Kulsomphob, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding PCL, and handed them over to Mrs. Wanthanee Wattana, Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, to help alleviate the suffering of the people affected by the earthquake. Mr. Boonjong Wongtrairat, Assistant Minister to the Minister of Interior, and Ms. Chatchadaporn Boonpiranat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, also attended the handover ceremony at the Ratchasi Conference Room, Ministry of Interior.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Thai government and the Ministry of Interior to Saha Pathana Inter-Holding PCL for their generous donation. The delivery of a large number of consumer goods from Saha Pathana Group will provide much-needed support to the earthquake victims and the workers assisting them. He emphasized that this contribution will significantly boost the morale of both the victims and the officers working tirelessly on the ground.

The Ministry of Interior, through the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, plans to distribute these goods to those affected. Additionally, some of the items will be allocated to support workers in various areas, including the collapsed building site in Chatuchak District. These workers, many of whom are volunteers, have shown tremendous dedication in their efforts to assist those in need.

Mr. Anutin commended the volunteer spirit of the Sahapat Group’s executives, directors, and personnel who have contributed essential items for the disaster relief efforts. He described the initiative as a merit-making activity that reflects the group’s commitment to helping fellow citizens. He expressed confidence that the goodwill and intentions demonstrated by the Sahapat Group will inspire health and success for their businesses in the future.

Mr. Wichai Kulsombhop, representing Sahapat Group, highlighted the company’s longstanding relationship with the Thai community over its 83-year history. He reiterated the group’s commitment to supporting disaster relief efforts by providing timely assistance to victims. Mr. Wichai also expressed appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister and other sector leaders for facilitating the delivery of goods to those affected by the earthquake, aligning with the company’s mission to support the community in times of need.
