Bangkok: The First Army Area, under the management of the Burapha Task Force, has intensified security protocols along the Thai-Cambodian border in Sa Kaeo Province. The measures include the closure of all checkpoints and border crossings, specifically targeting illegal entry and exit. The border security encompasses three permanent checkpoints: Ban Khlong Luek, Nong Ian, and Ban Khao Din, alongside two trade relaxation checkpoints: Ban Ta Phraya and Ban Nong Prue. Despite the closures, military and immigration officials continue their operations as usual, ensuring no border crossings remain active.
According to Thai News Agency, Task Forces 11, 12, and 13, in collaboration with local security agencies, have established additional checkpoints and blockades in their respective jurisdictions of Ta Phraya, Khok Sung, Aranyaprathet, and Khlong Hat Districts. These task forces have also implemented 24-hour patrols along natural channels and vulnerable areas to deter illegal activities that could threaten national security. Since October 1, 2015, authorities have arrested 572 individuals attempting illegal crossings, comprising 211 Thai nationals, 254 Cambodian nationals, and 58 others. Ongoing coordination with local administrative and police officials aims to further investigate these incidents in accordance with the law.

This includes meticulous control of border checkpoints and constant surveillance to prevent illegal border activities. He has urged all units to remain vigilant and prepared for any potential scenarios, ensuring a thorough approach to maintaining national security.
