Udon Thani police arrested a sergeant major who had fled the military service and tricked a woman into falling in love with him before taking her to his house and extorting her. He filmed the incident and threatened her for money. He confessed to having committed the crime many times and was looking for money to invest in stock trading. Udon Thani Provincial Police received a complaint from a victim, a 22-year-old woman, who reported that Sergeant Suphakorn, or Film, 22, had stolen and extorted property from her. They investigated and eventually arrested the perpetrator in a room in Sakon Nakhon Province. During the arrest, it was discovered that Mr. Film had opened this room to commit the crime with another woman. Police announced the results of the arrest of Corporal Suphakorn, according to an arrest warrant from the 24th Military Circle Court for theft and extortion, and an arrest warrant from the 21st Military Circle Court for embezzlement. Because the suspect is a soldier, he will be prosecuted in a mi litary court. Pol. Col. Chakaj Thiamwong, deputy commander of Udon Thani Provincial Police, revealed that the victim who filed the complaint gave information to the officers that she met Corporal Suphakorn through a dating app. They then contacted each other to start dating. Corporal Suphakorn claimed that he was a sergeant in the army and had a stable job, so they decided to give it a try. Later, Corporal Suphakorn asked to stay at a room in Udon Thani Province, and he let him stay. Then, on September 13, Corporal Suphakorn stole her laptop and threatened to delete important data on her computer if she did not transfer the money. The victim then filed a complaint with the police. From the investigation, it was found that Sergeant Suphakorn was a real soldier, assigned to a camp in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, but his unit had ordered him to leave service since August 19 due to desertion. The police therefore gathered evidence and requested an arrest warrant from the 24th Military Circle Court, and brought i n forces to make the arrest. They were able to arrest the suspect at a dormitory in Sakon Nakhon Province while he was about to deceive the victim. The suspect's mobile phone was checked by the authorities and found that he had several dating apps to find victims, and 8 Facebook accounts. But shockingly, there were also 2,000 clips of his victims having sex in bed. The suspect used sweet words to persuade him to fall in love and took him to his house, which had CCTV cameras installed all around the house, including the bedroom. Any young woman who fell for his trick to sleep with him would secretly record the clip to extort money from the victim later. Then, he would create a fake Facebook account to contact the victim and the victim's acquaintances and send the clip to threaten to extort money from the victim. He also stole the woman's car, motorcycle, and other valuables before fleeing. In the past, 7 victims have fallen victim and reported the incident to the police, while many more did not dare to report the incident. In total, there were more than 60 beautiful women. The authorities said that most of them were beautiful women looking for men in uniform who they thought would have a stable career. The suspect confessed that he was the perpetrator and that he would sell the stolen property and invest the money in stock trading. The police therefore took him to the military court for legal proceedings. Source: Thai News Agency
