London: Arsenal, the reigning Premier League champions, have suffered a setback as their star center-back, William Saliba, needs surgery for a back injury and could be sidelined for up to five months.

According to Thai News Agency, Saliba suffered a recurrence of his back injury while playing for France in the 2026 World Cup semi-final against Spain, which France lost 0-2. The Arsenal defender will require surgery and is expected to be out until December.
