BAAC provides loans for collecting wild fruits abroad

BAAC provides loans for wild fruit harvesting in Sweden/Finland to generate short-term income, with a credit limit of 75,000 baht/person, starting today-31 July 2024. Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, Manager of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), revealed that the BAAC has organized a loan project for fruit picking abroad to support travel expenses for fruit picking in Sweden and Finland, reduce reliance on high-cost informal loans, and help increase income for BAAC customers during the off-season from agricultural production. The budget is 375 million baht, targeting 5,000 BAAC customers. The loan amount is divided into a loan for fruit picking in Sweden of no more than 75,000 baht per person, and a loan of no more than 65,000 baht per person in Finland, with interest rates based on customer level. The loan is repaid in only 1 installment by December 31st. The focus is on BAAC customers who open a loan account and are on the customer list. The recruitment company has collected and presented the bank for use as information for preparing the loan letter. The bank emphasizes the protection of safety while traveling to work. It must be legal, including guaranteeing appropriate income. Therefore, customers are not allowed to borrow money to travel to pick wild fruits abroad by themselves without going through the company. For more information, please contact BAAC branches nationwide from now until July 31st, 2024. Source: Thai News Agency
