The Ministry aims to enhance competitiveness and foster cooperation between the government, private sector, and network institutions to strengthen Thai industries tangibly. The Ministry of Industry has appointed the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM) to spearhead efforts in creating spaces, opportunities, and collaborations for advancing the Thai industrial sector. This was announced at the Department of Industrial Promotion as part of the new industrial economy driving plan, focusing on 'Leveraging Innovation and Creativity to Drive Thai Industry into the Future' and preparing for the transition to Industry 5.0.

It offers services like laboratories, technological tools, innovations, and support for concept development and commercialization to enhance the competitiveness of Thai industries. It also acts as a networking and collaboration center for designers, developers, SMEs, community enterprises, startups, and industry network institutions.
To ensure effective collaboration, the Ministry of Industry, through the Plastics Institute, has signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited, IRPC Public Company Limited, and PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited.
