According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere at Bang Lamphu Fresh Market in Mueang Khon Kaen District has become lively with numerous shops participating in the Thai Helps Thai Plus 60/40 project. The promotional signs have been drawing shoppers since the market's opening, resulting in a marked rise in the sales of various goods and food items.
Ms. Sukanya Sila-arsan, who owns a seafood restaurant, shared that a large number of customers arrived early to take advantage of their benefits, as her restaurant has consistently participated in government programs. With regular patrons aware of the news, they lined up to purchase products, leading to sales multiplying several times over compared to typical periods. She perceives the project as an effective economic stimulus that enhances public purchasing power.
Ms. Yupaporn Kayarat, a local resident, mentioned that the initiative has genuinely assisted in reducing household expenses, particularly for those in her profession who frequently buy raw materials. The project has substantially lowered costs, and she expresses hope for the continuation of similar initiatives.
Additionally, Somwang Phukahad, a vendor selling fashion clothing, reported selling numerous items to customers using the project's benefits. He views it as a positive economic stimulus, prompting more consumer spending. While some customers initially had questions about the 60/40 payment ratio, they proceeded with purchases after receiving clarifications.
