BEM Announces New MRT Blue Line Fare Structure Effective July 2026

Bangkok: BEM has introduced a new fare structure for the MRT Blue Line, effective July 3, 2026, which will remain in place until July 2, 2028.

According to Thai News Agency, the starting fare is set at 17 baht, with a maximum fare of 44 baht. This adjustment is in line with the concession agreement, which mandates fare revisions every two years based on changes in the consumer price index.

The new fare structure includes specific reductions for frequent travelers and maintains existing discounts for senior citizens and students. For the general public, a 1 baht reduction is available at the 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th stations traveled from the originating station. Students benefit from a similar 1 baht reduction at the 8th and 12th stations. Senior citizens continue to receive a 50% discount, while students are offered a 10% discount on fares.
