Bhumjaithai Party Asserts Readiness for Potential No-Confidence Motion by Pheu Thai Party

Bangkok: Bhumjaithai Party has expressed its readiness to address any no-confidence motion that the Pheu Thai Party might submit, asserting confidence in its ability to provide necessary clarifications. Within just a month and a half of their administration, the party claims to have achieved significant progress without causing any damage. They have advised the Pheu Thai Party against hastily criticizing the US tax issue, emphasizing the time zone differences between Thailand and the US. The party is confident in Anutin’s capabilities concerning economic and sovereignty matters.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, the spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, mentioned that today’s coalition meeting was aimed at preparing for the upcoming regular parliamentary session. She noted that the Pheu Thai Party is ready to submit a no-confidence motion that includes Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul. After discussions with the Prime Minister, Ms. Nan conveyed that there are no significant concerns and that the Pheu Thai Party has the right to submit such a motion. She highlighted that the Prime Minister has been in office for only a brief period and that the administration has yielded positive results, especially in the economic sector. Business owners and vendors, particularly those involved in the “Half-Half Plus” program, have praised the government for stimulating the economy and generating substantial revenue, leading to plans for a second phase of the program.

Ms. Nan also addressed the potential inclusion of the US tax issue in the censure debate. She noted that updates are being provided almost hourly, detailing the current state of affairs. Sometimes, documents are released before negotiations between Prime Minister Anutin and US President Donald Trump commence. She urged the Pheu Thai Party to be patient and not to react hastily to isolated news reports. Acknowledging the time zone differences between Thailand and the United States, she explained that communication and document exchanges might require time. Nonetheless, the Prime Minister remains confident in his administration’s performance in both economic and sovereignty domains.
