Bhumjaithai Party’s Mobile Kitchen Supports Flood Victims in Bangkok

Bangkok:Distributing food and papaya salad to flood victims, the Bhumjaithai Party's mobile kitchen, known as "Proud Thai Kitchen," continued its operations even during public holidays. This initiative highlights the nutritional value of Northeastern Thai cuisine.

According to Thai News Agency, the "Proud Thai Kitchen" remained active on a special holiday in Bangkok, offering a wide range of meals to the public. These included vegetarian options for those observing religious practices, halal food for Muslim citizens, and popular dishes like sticky rice with fried chicken. The kitchen ensured that freshly cooked meals were prepared to reach as many people as possible. Minister Suksomruay Wantaniyakul also contributed by providing desserts and fruits, completing the meal offerings with a variety of savory dishes, sweets, and fruits.

A notable aspect of the day was the involvement of staff from the Police Hospital, who volunteered to prepare and serve papaya salad. This gesture added to the lively atmosphere and brought smiles to those receiving food. Som Tum, or papaya salad, is not only refreshing but also packed with Vitamin C, antioxidants, dietary fiber, and essential nutrients, making it a nutritious choice.

For flood victims unable to collect meals in person, food can be ordered through the GrabFood application, subject to terms and conditions. Despite improvements in some areas, many families remain affected by the floods. The "Proud Thai Kitchen" continues to deliver meals and encouragement, with the support of its kitchen team, volunteers, and supporters.
