Bangkok: Popular singer Boki Lion, also known as Boki Pitchsinee, was taken aback after discovering foreign objects contaminating a brand of wet dog food she ordered online from the brand’s official website for her 11-year-old dog, Nong Mi. The dog became ill, suffering from stomach pain and vomiting multiple times. Medical examinations revealed hard fragments resembling bones and wood in Nong Mi’s stomach. Despite a gastric lavage being performed, fragments remained, and treatment is ongoing. Initially, Boki suspected her dog’s age or dietary indiscretion but later realized the food might be the source of the issue.
According to Thai News Agency, Boki shared the incident on her Instagram account @bowkylion, detailing the foreign objects found in the dog food. Nong Mi, a picky eater with no history of ingesting foreign materials, experienced severe symptoms, leading to the discovery of the contaminants. Medical imaging showed white, pointed fragments and darker wood-like pieces in the dog’s stomach. Despite medical intervention, the fragments remain.
These issues arose following the consumption of a specific wet food brand. Initially unaware of the contamination, Boki fed the same food to another dog, which also vomited. The food, although opened, was submitted for examination, and foreign objects were confirmed. This incident underscores the importance of careful pet food selection to ensure the health of pets.
