Bombings Target Gas Stations in Southern Border Provinces

Yala: Unidentified assailants simultaneously detonated bombs at three PT gas stations in Yala and Pattani provinces, resulting in one civilian injury. Authorities are intensifying security checks. A series of bomb attacks occurred around 11:00 PM on June 28th, targeting gas stations located in public areas. One attack took place in Yala province, at the PT gas station on Highway 15 in Sateng Subdistrict, Mueang Yala District.

According to Thai News Agency, in Pattani province, two incidents occurred: one at the PT gas station in Pawa district, where the explosion injured one person, and another at the Piyammumang branch in Yaharing district. Latest reports indicate that security forces from all sectors have secured and cordoned off all three incident locations. Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units and forensic officers have been deployed to collect evidence and expedite the investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

The Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward (ISOC Region 4 Forward) issued a statement strongly condemning the perpetrators of this attack, as it was an act aimed at instilling fear and destroying the lives and property of innocent civilians. Furthermore, the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward Command confirmed that it will fully enforce the law to bring the perpetrators to justice. It also ordered all units in the area to elevate security measures to the highest level to reassure the public.
