Breeding a new breed of bicolor sphinx rats

Chiang Mai Exotic Animal Farm breeds two-colored sphinx rats, a new species, the first in the world. The Ex Cafe, Chiang Mai, is a strange animal breeding farm that breeds a new species of sphinx rats, a two-colored sphinx rat with a wrinkled face and no fur, but pink skin, wrinkled all over the body, but the tail and ears are gray or black. They sell for 1,000-1,500 baht each. They are not difficult to care for and can be raised like normal pets. Last year, the farm created a sensation by being the first in the world to breed wrinkled whole-skinned Sphinx rats. They sold them for tens of thousands of baht each. Many customers reserved and bought them to breed, so much so that they couldn't keep up. But this year, customers who bought them took them to breed and expanded their numbers, and there was competition for the market, so this year's price dropped to just 800 baht each. The owner of the exotic pet shop revealed that this year he has bred a new breed of sphinx rats, a 7-color fancy sphinx, to avoi d the market, but has not been successful. He has only 2 colors of the new breed of sphinx rats: only the ears and tail are black, while the body is still pink and the skin is wrinkled as before. At first, he wanted to develop it to be a fancy sphinx with skin of many colors to get a high price, but when he only got 2 colors, he set the selling price at 1,000 - 1,500 baht, which is also the first in the world. There are no other countries yet. In early August, his daughter took the sphinx rat to compete in an ugly pet contest in Bangkok, where it won the championship trophy. However, in the exotic animal breeding group or trade association, alternative farmers, breeders and developers of exotic pets, I would like the government or responsible agencies to allow exotic animals to be exported and sold abroad. If this can be done, the exotic animal market will expand several times. Currently, they cannot be exported due to legal issues. Source: Thai News Agency
