Celebrity Targeted by AI Scammers Warns Public

Bangkok: Adungdao Jarujinda filed a police report against scammers who created an AI to deceive the public. It seems that many celebrities are being targeted by scammers these days. Most recently, Duangdao Jarujinda was a victim of AI-powered image and voice manipulation to deceive the public, especially the elderly. Today (January 28, 2026), Duangdao is using the media to warn the public about this scam, after fraudsters used footage from her TV show "Chae" to create a realistic-sounding voice imitation to deceive people.

According to Thai News Agency, Aduangdao explained that the scam involved editing a photo of her with her niece and using AI to mimic her voice to create credibility. They then used this information to falsely claim and solicit people to invest or save for retirement in a real senior citizen fund under the royal initiative. Aduangdao was very angry because of this. There was also another video where they used her face, edited with AI, to sell clothes. She emphasized that she does not sell clothes and has not solicited investments in any funds. Her current work is running a home-based live sales event with her family, which she does honestly.

Initially, I've already filed a police report to prevent misunderstandings. This is to ensure that if anyone transfers money and gets scammed, I have proof that I am not involved. Out of concern for my older fans, I wanted to offer some advice to avoid becoming victims. If someone asks for your phone number but refuses to provide it, only insisting you add them on LINE, assume it's a scam. Before transferring any money, always consult your family or friends. Don't easily believe everything you see on social media. I also want to urge scammers to stop this behavior. The karmic consequences of earning money through dishonest means are terrifying. Look at me, at 74 years old, I still work hard and with pride. I want everyone to pursue honest professions.
