Nonthaburi: "Chada" and "Sabida" have intensified their campaigning efforts in the Muslim community of Nonthaburi, rallying support for "Kanyaporn," the daughter of the Attorney General, in her election bid. Their campaign emphasizes policies aimed at addressing flooding issues and reducing Hajj pilgrimage expenses, underscoring a "keeps promises plus" approach as they appeal for votes in the final stretch before the election.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chada Thaiseth, a Bhumjaithai Party candidate for Member of Parliament in Uthai Thani, together with Ms. Sabida Thaiseth, a Bhumjaithai Party candidate for the party-list system, campaigned at Hidayatul Ummah Mosque (Talad Khwan Mosque) in Nonthaburi Province. Their efforts aimed to bolster support for Ms. Kanyaporn Kaewthip, also known as "Sai," the Bhumjaithai Party candidate for Member of Parliament in Nonthaburi Constituency 1. Observers noted that Kanyaporn is the daughter of Mr. Ittiporn Kaewthip, the current Attorney General. Mr. Chada led discussions with religious leaders and community members, presenting the party's policies tailored for Muslims in Thailand.
Ms. Sabida continued the campaign at Darul Islam Mosque in Mueang District, Nonthaburi Province, engaging with locals. She highlighted the Bhumjaithai Party's commitment to direct interaction with Muslim communities, aiming to understand and address their issues. A significant concern raised was flooding, prompting the introduction of a Smart City development policy, which features an intelligent flood warning system leveraging technology for effective disaster management.
The Bhumjaithai Party has also placed emphasis on Islamic affairs, particularly in enhancing the management of the Hajj pilgrimage. The party has previously succeeded in lowering Hajj travel costs while maintaining high-quality standards, showcasing its dedication to resolving issues efficiently.
Economically, Ms. Sabida mentioned the demand for a new phase of the co-payment scheme to ease living costs. She stressed that this initiative addresses economic needs based on fieldwork feedback. Additionally, the party aims to stimulate the economy through Thailand's soft power industries, particularly by promoting Thai films and culture internationally. This strategy is projected to generate over 4.6 billion baht in economic value and elevate Thailand's global standing.
In concluding her campaign message, Ms. Sabida called for public trust in the Bhumjaithai Party and its candidates, asserting that their proven track record of delivering tangible results aligns with the party's slogan, "We say it, we do it plus."
