Chaiyanok Awaits Clarification Before Making Official Statement on Party Discussions

Bangkok: "Chaiyanok" confirms he has spoken with "Pai" and is waiting for "Thammanat" and "Anutin" to clarify before making a statement. Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the case of Mr. Pai Lik, Secretary-General of the Kla Tham Party, who revealed that they had spoken by phone. Mr. Chaiyanok acknowledged the call and stated it was a brief conversation, but suggested that the leaders of both parties should speak amongst themselves before any formal discussions take place.

According to Thai News Agency, when asked if the principle was to support the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Chaiyanok stated that it was based on initial discussions, and they would have to wait and see what the final outcome would be. He said they needed to wait for Captain Thamanat Phromphao, the party's advisor, to speak with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Bhumjaithai Party leader, before making an official statement.

Regarding Mr. Pai, did he say that the Kla Tham Party does not set any conditions? Mr. Chaiyanok admitted that Mr. Pai had discussed this with him, but suggested waiting for an official announcement.

Regarding the Bhumjaithai Party, have there been any discussions about ministerial positions, as there are rumors that Mr. Chaiyanok will be appointed Minister of Interior? Mr. Chaiyanok stated that there is no such arrangement and confirmed that as long as the election results have not been confirmed, no positions will be announced. He requested that everyone wait for an official statement.

Regarding when the Kla Tham Party will come for discussions, Mr. Chaiyanok said that they are waiting for Captain Thamanat to talk with Mr. Anutin first.

"Is the door not closed for the Kla Tham Party at this point?" Mr. Chaiyanok said, "We have made it clear that we are listening to all parties."
