Pathum thani: The Piti Pirompakdi Foundation marked its 12th anniversary with a charity golf tournament, partnering with the Golf Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. The event, held at the Riverdale Golf Club, aimed to raise funds for educational and public health initiatives.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Santi Bhirombhakdi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., presided over the competition. He was joined by key figures including Mr. Phurit Bhirombhakdi, Managing Director of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., and Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Boon Rawd Brewery Group, who also serves as the Chairman of the Piti Foundation. The President of the Golf Association of Thailand, Mr. Rangsarit Laksitanont, was also present.
The tournament featured a 4-person team stroke play format, highlighted by the "Todd-Piti Par 3 Contest," where participants had the chance to compete against Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi for special prizes. The event fostered a warm and friendly atmosphere among the amateur golfers in attendance.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the foundation's mission to improve education and healthcare. This includes providing scholarships, educational supplies, and sports equipment to underprivileged schools, as well as supplying medical equipment to hospitals in provincial areas.
In 2026, the foundation plans to extend its support to six schools across Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Phanom, Krabi, Chanthaburi, Lopburi, and Mae Hong Son provinces. Additionally, Khao Sukim Hospital in Chanthaburi province will receive medical equipment, aiming to enhance educational opportunities and quality of life in remote regions.
