London: Chelsea have been forced to remove Enzo Fernandez's goal celebration post from the club's social media accounts after it drew heavy criticism from England fans. The post, which contributed to England's elimination from the 2026 World Cup semi-finals, was part of a controversy.
According to Thai News Agency, Chelsea's social media accounts posted images of Fernandez celebrating his long-range equalizer for Argentina against England in the 85th minute of Wednesday's game at Atlanta Stadium. Argentina then went on to win 2-1 thanks to a header from Lautaro Martinez in stoppage time (90+2), a heartbreaking result that cost England their first World Cup final appearance in 60 years.
