Bangkok:The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces has affirmed that all branches of the military are ready to handle any situation along the Cambodian-Myanmar border. He emphasized the military's preparedness to retaliate according to security mechanisms.

According to Thai News Agency, General Nattapong Prawkaew, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, discussed the current situation on the Thai-Cambodian border, highlighting Cambodia's ongoing information operations (IO). He stated that the armed forces are already prepared, a point underscored by the Supreme Commander at a recent meeting of the commanders of the armed forces. The emphasis was on maintaining readiness in all aspects, regardless of Cambodia's IO activities.

General Natthapong elaborated that the military has applied lessons from two prior clashes to guide their preparations for potential situations. Discussions are ongoing to enhance military capabilities to confront any situation comprehensively.

Regarding the Thai-Myanmar border, where recent fighting has resulted in weapons falling onto Thai territory, the armed forces have established procedures for assessing the situation. They are utilizing existing border security mechanisms, such as the General Border Committee (GBC) and the Regional Border Committee (RBC), for coordination. In instances where weapons land on Thai soil, Thailand will lodge a protest and notify the relevant parties each time.
