The new regulations state that China is the first country in the world to offer or part of the spectrum in the 6 gigahertz band (6,425-7,125 MHz). To provide international mobile telecommunications (IMT) services, thereby contributing to the promotion of corresponding global and regional spectrum division. and to provide sufficient Mid Band resources for 5G and 6G development.

According to the ministry, the 6GHz band is the only high-quality resource with large bandwidth in the middle band. Both have coverage and capacity advantages. He added that the spectrum is ideal for use with 5G systems or 6G systems in the future.

The move will help stabilize 5G and 6G industry expectations, deliver mid-band frequencies for 5G and 6G systems, and promote development and innovation in mobile communication technologies.
