According to Thai News Agency, the Thai national women’s futsal team, currently ranked 5th globally, is set to face Hong Kong, ranked 29th, in a pivotal match at Hohhot Stadium in the People’s Republic of China. The Thai team has demonstrated impressive form in the tournament so far, having emerged as winners of Group C following a 4-0 victory over Bahrain, a goalless draw with Indonesia, and a 3-1 triumph over Japan. In light of their rigorous schedule, the team opted for a rest day yesterday to recover ahead of today’s crucial encounter.
‘Coach O’ Thanathorn Santhanaprasit, the head coach, stated that the team is in excellent condition, with no injury concerns and a positive mindset boosted by their recent win against Japan. Despite their higher ranking, he cautioned against complacency, warning that Hong Kong possesses a formidable attacking style characterized by long throws and shots.
