Bangkok: Deeply grateful for the country of Thailand, famous comedian Joey Chernyim, also known as Musa Amidou Johnson, age 56, volunteered on behalf of the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, distributing over 9,000 boxes of Pad Thai to citizens who came to pay their respects to the royal urn of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, at the royal food stall at Sanam Luang, Phra Nakhon District.
According to Thai News Agency, Joey shared that he volunteered at 10 a.m., bringing 9,000 boxes of Pad Thai to distribute. He intends to continue distributing until the Pad Thai runs out. As a foreigner living in Thailand, he wanted to do something beneficial to society. He has been doing good deeds through the Ruamkatanyu Foundation for the past eight years. He wanted to contribute to the nation and do so with pride in his Thai roots. He expressed deep gratitude, as he learned the concept of kindness from this experience. He believes that in everything, the nation comes first. Thailand is under the umbrella of the monarchy, which allows people of all religions and skin colors to coexist.
Joey revealed that he has lived in Thailand for over 20 years and has witnessed His Majesty’s royal duties throughout his life. He has been deeply saddened since the passing of His Majesty King Rama IX and the passing of Her Majesty the Queen Mother. As a foreigner living in Thailand, he would like to express his condolences to the land of Thailand and wish for her to rest in peace. His Majesty’s principle of sufficiency and doing good deeds is one he has observed in many royal projects, which he doesn’t have in his country. It’s hard to find such good people who have built the country to this point. He teaches people to be self-sufficient and sees his goodness clearly without having to ask. He wants to tell other foreigners that everyone should respect the land, the owner of the land. Thai people have given us opportunities. Whether rich or poor, we must respect the owner of the land. This is important.
