Nakhon ratchasima: The Commander of the 2nd Army Region inspected the "Open House for New Recruits" event. Lieutenant General Veerayuth Rakasilp, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, along with his command staff, visited the area to inspect the "Open House" activities for new recruits of the 1st/2569 intake.
According to Thai News Agency, the event took place at the 3rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Suranari Camp, in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The "Open House" event is organized by the armed forces to welcome the families and relatives of new recruits, providing them an opportunity to experience firsthand the living conditions of their sons and grandsons.
The event is designed to allow families to visit actual facilities such as training grounds, barracks, and mess halls. It also serves to inform them about the welfare and medical care systems in place for the recruits. Such activities are aimed at boosting the morale of new recruits and alleviating the anxieties of their families.
The army emphasizes its commitment to caring for every new recruit, treating them as "the youngest members of the Royal Thai Army." This includes training in discipline, caring for their quality of life, and developing their potential to become important contributors to the nation in the future.
