Bangkok: A delivery rider who punched "Director Jarong" in the face has met with police to apologize for his actions. The confrontation occurred after Director Jarong, a senior official in the National Anti-Corruption Commission's Investigation and Special Affairs Division, allegedly fled a scene of drunk driving that resulted in a fatality.

According to Thai News Agency, the delivery rider, identified as Mr. Thanat, reported to Thung Khru Police Station to provide his statement to investigators. His lawyer, Mr. Taweesak Saiyot, explained that Mr. Thanat's actions could be considered assault, though they were fueled by anger over the circumstances surrounding the victim's death.
