This announcement coincides with the conclusion of the “You Can Be a Good MP” campaign, which is currently accepting applications for MP candidates.
According to Thai News Agency, Democrat Party spokesman Pongsakorn Kwanmuang addressed the findings of the Nida Poll, highlighting the party’s appreciation for the confidence shown by citizens, particularly those in the South, towards the Democrat Party and its leader, Abhisit Vejjajiva. The poll indicates that the Democrat Party holds the position of being the most trusted and preferred choice in the South for the upcoming elections. Additionally, Abhisit Vejjajiva has secured the highest vote of confidence as the preferred Prime Minister in the upcoming election.
Mr. Pongsakorn emphasized that the survey serves as a significant source of encouragement and a reminder of the mission to fulfill the people’s trust. The party aims to proceed with the establishment of honest politics, driven by professionalism. As part of this commitment, the Democrat Party is prepared to engage actively in political activities, striving to demonstrate that “good politics can truly improve the country,” thereby justifying the trust placed in them by the public.
He further noted that today marks the final day of the “You Can Be a Good MP, Too” campaign, which invites applications from individuals aspiring to become MP candidates under the Democrat Party banner. Mr. Pongsakorn extended an invitation to all those dedicated to serving the country to join the effort of creating “Good MPs, Building a Good Political Party, Because a Good Political Party Can Truly Improve Thailand.”
