According to Thai News Agency, the department is entering its 25th year with a focus on leveraging technology and a Single Command system to drive sustainable conservation efforts. Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, presided over the anniversary celebration, which was delayed due to flooding in Bangkok. The department's efforts include promoting infrastructure for farmers' livelihoods, achieving carbon neutrality in forestry, and enhancing ecotourism with transparent revenue systems. Emphasis is also placed on the welfare of forest rangers and personnel, resolving land ownership issues, and assisting citizens during natural disasters under a unified ministry initiative.

Mr. Yongyuth Nakaviroj, the department's Director-General, highlighted ongoing efforts to resolve land issues under relevant national laws. The anniversary event also featured an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions, aiming to boost morale among personnel dedicated to protecting Thailand's natural resources as the department advances into its 25th year.
