Department of Public Works to Inspect Ban Phaeo Hospital Structure After Fire

Samut sakhon: The Department of Public Works is preparing to inspect the structure of Ban Phaeo Hospital following a recent fire, aiming to assess its structural integrity and safety before reopening.

According to Thai News Agency, the fire broke out yesterday evening in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic on the ground floor of the Chalerm Phra Kiat Building within the hospital premises. As a precaution, the hospital has temporarily suspended all services in the outpatient building today. Although the fire has been controlled, experts are required to inspect the site to ensure maximum safety.

The Department of Public Works will conduct a thorough evaluation of the building's structure to determine its stability and safety before any consideration is given to reopening the affected area. Meanwhile, the Pollution Control Department is set to inspect the air quality and pollution levels resulting from the smoke left by the fire. Forensic officers are also involved in collecting evidence and conducting a detailed investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
