Deputy Minister Relocates Water Pumps to Address Flooding in Lat Krabang

Bangkok:The Deputy Minister of Interior has ordered the relocation of four high-speed water pumps to the Rom Klao housing community in Lat Krabang District after the flood situation at Khlong Chan flats began to improve.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Worasit Liengprasit, also known as "M.4 Go Pae," initiated the move to enhance water drainage efforts. The water pumps were previously installed in the Khlong Chan housing community in Bang Kapi District, where they successfully reduced water levels.

The operation at Khlong Chan flats was deemed successful, with significant progress in managing the flooding through the use of smaller pumps that continuously manage and drain residual water. This success prompted the decision to relocate resources to Rom Klao to assist residents still affected by flooding.

Mr. Worasit emphasized the importance of efficient resource management, stating that, as conditions improve in one area, equipment and personnel must be swiftly redirected to other regions in need. This approach seeks to alleviate the impact of flooding on affected communities promptly.
