DITP Hosts TOPTHAI Cross-Border E-Commerce Day 2026 to Empower Thai Entrepreneurs for Global Expansion

Bangkok: The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is spearheading the 'TOPTHAI Cross-Border E-Commerce Day 2026' with a focused theme of 'TOPTHAI Global Gateway' from August 17-18, 2026, at the Le Grand Ballroom, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel. This initiative, a collaboration with various government agencies, private sector partners, and e-commerce entities, aims to bolster the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs in the realm of cross-border e-commerce, thereby amplifying their prospects for business expansion into international markets.

According to Thai News Agency, the event is designed to update Thai entrepreneurs on the latest online commerce trends and consumer behaviors prevalent in international markets. It aims to equip them with essential knowledge in digital marketing, technology, innovation, AI application, and international logistics. This information will enable entrepreneurs to devise strategic business plans, enhance operational efficiency, and improve their competitiveness on a global scale.

The event will include a series of seminars and knowledge-sharing sessions led by experts specializing in digital commerce, AI technology, and international logistics. Practical skill enhancement workshops will also be available. Furthermore, a Platform and Business Model Showcase from prominent platforms such as JD.com, Alibaba, Shopee, Tmall, Amazon, and Thailand Post Mart will provide insights into market trends, business models, sales strategies, and opportunities for flourishing in cross-border e-commerce.

Moreover, the event offers a platform for entrepreneurs to translate acquired knowledge into actionable business negotiations through Business Matching activities. These sessions will involve representatives from both domestic and international platforms and partners, focusing on business consultations related to e-commerce platforms, logistics, international payment systems, and export support services. A networking reception will also be held to facilitate the building of networks and foster further business collaborations.

This initiative is a segment of the broader TOPTHAI by DITP program, which seeks to nurture collaboration between the public and private sectors, effectively linking entrepreneurs with platforms, technologies, payment systems, and logistics. Such measures are intended to help Thai businesses adapt to the evolving global trade landscape and expand their consumer reach internationally through digital channels.

Additionally, DITP is committed to organizing Cross-Border E-Commerce activities across different regions within the country. These activities are structured to expand knowledge and trade opportunities for local entrepreneurs, encompassing educational sessions, partner networking, business negotiations, and expert consultations. Such efforts aim to prepare Thai entrepreneurs for continuous business expansion and the introduction of Thai products into international markets.
