Dr. Jetsada Urges Voters to Remember Candidate Numbers in Advance Voting

Bangkok: Dr. Jetsada Tonawanik, the Rak Chart Party's prime ministerial candidate, exercised his right to cast an advance vote outside his district at the Ratchathewi District Office. The voting process was smooth, with a significant turnout as many people exercised their right to vote.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Jetsada emphasized the importance of voters remembering the candidate's number in their district. He highlighted the clear system implemented by officials, which included providing voters with QR codes to locate voting points and clearly defined directions within the polling area, ensuring an orderly entry into the booths. Dr. Jetsada also advised voters to check the documents at the polling booth entrance to review the list of parties or candidates in their district.

He explained that the voting process involves two ballots: a green ballot for district MPs and a pink ballot for party-list MPs. The pink ballot, which includes party names and numbers, offers more mnemonic information, while the green ballot requires voters to remember only the candidate number as it does not list party or candidate names. Dr. Jetsada stressed the importance of remembering the correct candidate number for the green ballot to ensure accurate voting.

Dr. Jetsada described the atmosphere at the Ratchathewi voting station as lively, with a higher number of eligible voters participating compared to previous years. District office officials confirmed an increase in voter turnout and had mobilized resources to streamline the process. This included deploying staff to assist voters, installing loudspeakers for announcements, and providing additional waiting areas to accommodate the large crowd.
