Bangkok: Dr. Joe Chaiwat, the People's Party's candidate for Bangkok Governor, made a compelling appeal for the opportunity to address problems that the previous administration left unresolved. During his visit to Ramkhamhaeng 53, Dr. Chaiwat encountered an elderly woman who expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of action on local issues, prompting his commitment to tackle structural problems and improve traffic law enforcement if elected.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Chaiwat, accompanied by Mr. Pitikorn Bannaphesat, the People's Party's MP for Wang Thonglang district, campaigned at Saiyud Market on Soi Ladprao 112. Their visit aimed to support Mr. Athikarn Thirawiriyapol, the People's Party's candidate for Bangkok City Council. At the market, Dr. Chaiwat and his team interacted with locals, handed out leaflets, and introduced themselves and the party's policies.
Continuing his campaign in Ramkhamhaeng Soi 53, Dr. Chaiwat listened to residents' concerns. An interaction with an elderly woman, who highlighted the issue of obstructive motorcycle parking, underscored the community's frustration over unresolved issues from the previous governor's term. Dr. Chaiwat assured her of his commitment to govern effectively and introduced other People's Party candidates.
In an interview, Dr. Chaiwat shared his observations from the market, noting the persistent problem of parked vehicles disrupting pedestrian and vehicular traffic. He emphasized the People's Party's collaborative approach and pledged that, if given the mandate to manage Bangkok, they would prioritize resolving these issues directly.
