Dr. Suphat Hasuwanakit Acknowledges Order Revoking Dismissal from Ministry of Public Health

Bangkok:Dr. Suphat Hasuwanakit has acknowledged an order that revokes his dismissal and reinstates him at the Ministry of Public Health, despite a suspension order from the Ministry's Permanent Secretary.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Suphat, formerly the director of Chana and Sabayoi hospitals in Songkhla province and a past president of the Rural Doctors Association, shared on Facebook that he signed to acknowledge the order on October 22, 2026. This acknowledgment was made despite the official suspension order.

Dr. Suphat reported that due to the closure of the post office on King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day, he sent the signed acknowledgment document via registered EMS on October 24th. The document was successfully returned to the Ministry of Public Health with a return receipt requested.

The letter is expected to reach the Ministry by Monday morning. It will then be the Ministry's responsibility to determine if there are any legal grounds to reconsider the revocation of the previous dismissal order. Dr. Suphat and his consulted teachers believe that the decision by the Civil Service Commission should be considered final. They emphasized the importance of exercising power with righteousness and justice to prevent decline, citing the "blue regime" as an example.
