DSI, DSI receives a complaint to investigate the process of selecting senators, believes there are many irregularities, requests to accept it as a special case. Pol. Lt. Col. Woranan Srilam, Director of the Informal Financial Business Division, as the spokesperson of the Department of Special Investigation, was assigned by Pol. Lt. Col. Yuthana Phraedam, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, acting as Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, to accept a complaint from Mr. Phatthapong Suphaksorn, or Lawyer Aun, a representative of the 'New Generation, Pure Democracy' group, who submitted a petition requesting an investigation into evidence found in the election of senators and to consider accepting it as a special case. This was in the case of the election of senators at the district, provincial, and national levels on June 26, which resulted in the election of 200 senators. After the election, news emerged of irregularities in the election process, and socie ty began to question whether the acquisition of this group of senators was in accordance with democratic principles and the intent of the law. Pol. Lt. Col. Woranan revealed that after this, the case will be forwarded to the Special Case Administration Division as the central agency for cases of the department to compile facts and laws to present to the Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation to order for consideration of the assignment of agencies as soon as possible.
