Ekanat Remains Tight-Lipped on Palang Pracharath Party’s Support for Chaikasem

Bangkok: Ekanat Promphan, Minister of Industry and Secretary-General of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party (RTSC), refrained from commenting on the Palang Pracharath Party's potential support for Chaikasem Nitisiri as the next prime minister. Speaking about the Constitutional Court's decision to remove Prime Minister and Culture Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra from office, Ekanat mentioned that the coalition parties' stance would be deliberated at a later time. He noted that he was not yet privy to any meeting scheduled for the evening.

According to Thai News Agency, when questioned about the possibility of the coalition parties backing Chaikasem Nitisiri, the Pheu Thai Party's candidate for prime minister, Ekanat merely smiled and chose not to answer. He then proceeded to enter his car and depart from Government House, leaving the question of support unanswered.
