Bangkok: Ekniti Nitithanprapas, a member of the Bhumjaithai Party's economic dream team and a campaign assistant, shared that his recent visit to Samyan Market was met with a positive response.
According to Thai News Agency, Ekniti noted the eagerness among the public for the return of the "Half-Price Plus" scheme. He is also contemplating the integration of the "Welfare Card Plus" scheme to enhance continuity and user convenience, alongside plans to introduce "Senior Citizen Plus" and "Community Plus" policies aimed at distributing economic benefits across the provinces.
Ekniti commented on the enthusiastic reception during his field visit, highlighting the vibrant atmosphere at Samyan Market during the "Half-Price Plus" period. He advised against removing signs related to the scheme due to the positive feedback received. Should the party return to government, Ekniti emphasized the need for policy continuity. The party's vision includes integrating the "Welfare Card Plus" project with the "Half-Price Plus" scheme, aligning it with the "Thailand Plus" policy to maintain economic vibrancy and promote ongoing consumer spending. He acknowledged feedback about registration challenges, noting a long gap since the last scheme required re-registration. Future iterations of the "Half-Price Plus" scheme are expected to be easier to implement, with many already registered.
When questioned about non-participation in the project, Ekniti attributed it partly to missed registration deadlines due to a brief timeframe before the parliamentary dissolution. Nonetheless, he considered the scheme successful, receiving a favorable response from businesses.
Addressing economic issues raised during public interactions, Ekniti stressed the need for renewed confidence. He expressed satisfaction with the vibrant economy and the public's trust in the Bhumjaithai Party's economic policies.
During visits to various markets, Ekniti noted that citizens consistently requested the reinstatement of the "Half-Price Plus" project, a hallmark of the Bhumjaithai Party. He explained that the project encompasses multiple policies, including the "Welfare Card Plus" for low-income individuals, easing the traditional "Half-Price" payment requirement. This integration allows welfare cardholders to use their cards at participating "Half-Price" stores, increasing convenience and enabling year-round business operations. Ekniti highlighted the "Plus" aspect, which includes online sales training, expanding market reach. He observed long queues at stores during field visits, primarily from delivery riders, underscoring the project's role in enhancing online sales skills to boost revenue.
