Bangkok: The Election Commission held a meeting to upgrade the standards of work at both the central and regional levels, driving their missions in the same direction.
According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission Chairman, Mr. Narong Klanwarin, along with other commissioners and staff, organized a workshop to enhance work standards and integrate management between central and regional levels. The aim was to ensure that their missions are aligned and effectively executed. Mr. Anan Suwannarat, an Election Commissioner, also participated, with Lieutenant Colonel Adisak Noisuwan, the Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, delivering a welcoming speech.
The event, which took place from September 16-18, 2026, focused on summarizing the challenges and obstacles faced by the Election Commission Office. It facilitated discussions and exchanges of opinions on internal management, incorporating observations and suggestions from the Election Commission to improve operations. The meeting emphasized the importance of aligning the office's operations and integrating efforts between central and regional offices.
Election Commissioners, including Mr. Sitthichot Intrawises, Mr. Anan Suwannarat, and Mr. Jirutt Visaljit, participated in the workshop. The workshop was structured into four task groups: enhancing the office's structural work and employee welfare, driving intelligence work and preventing election fraud, managing elections, and increasing public participation. The participants deliberated on strategies to drive these tasks and apply them to improve future operations.
In addition to the workshop, a public service activity was held on September 16, 2026, at Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan in That Phanom District. Mr. Narong Klanwarin, along with commissioners, executives, staff, and partner networks, participated in the event to dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi.
