Sanaa:The election for the Social Security Board will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 800 AM to 400 PM. The government has emphasized that Arabic numerals must be used on the ballots, and campaign materials are prohibited within polling booths.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongsalooykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, highlighted the importance of this election for employers and insured persons to influence social security policies. All eligible voters are encouraged to verify their information and prepare necessary documents for voting under the established rules to ensure a smooth process.
Insured persons can use a national identification card or other government-issued identification with a photo and ID number to verify their identity. Electronic identification, such as the ThaID, Digital Driver's License, or Electronic Disability Card, is also accepted.
For employers, the necessary documents include identification similar to insured persons, along with a letter of authorization and a certificate of incorporation issued within the last six months, or an electronic certificate from the DBD e-Service system. If a legal entity has multiple authorized representatives, each can only vote for one entity.
Voters must write the candidate's number in Arabic numerals in the designated box, choosing up to seven candidates. If they choose not to vote for any candidate, they should mark an "X" in the appropriate box. To avoid invalidating ballots, voters are advised not to make any additional marks. After marking, ballots should be folded and placed in the ballot box personally.
Eligible voters should verify the candidate list and numbers on the notice board outside the polling station. Bringing campaign-related materials into the polling station is prohibited under Article 44 of the Ministry of Labour's election regulations, and failure to adhere may affect election results.
The government aims to ensure participation in the social security system, and the Social Security Office has prepared election management resources for public guidance. Voters can access the Social Security Office website for announcements, voter lists, polling locations, and regulations, or contact the Election Management Center at 0 2956 2929 or the Social Security Office hotline 1506, available 24/7.
