EXAT Announces Free Access on 5 Expressways for Songkran 2025

Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) is set to waive toll fees on five major expressways in honor of Songkran 2025, aiming to ease travel and lessen financial burdens for the public during the festival.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surachet Laopoolsuk, Governor of EXAT, announced that the toll exemption aligns with the Ministry of Transport’s policy to facilitate smoother travel and cost savings for the public during the Songkran Festival. From April 11 to April 17, 2025, tolls will be waived on the Buraphawithi Expressway and Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli – Suksawat). Additionally, from April 13 to April 15, 2025, Chalerm Mahanakhon Expressway, Srirat Expressway, and Udonratthaya Expressway will also be toll-free.

The gesture is part of the broader policy to ensure a joyful Songkran festival nationwide, promoting safe and easy travel across Thailand’s transportation network.
