Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has announced a postponement for the traffic diversion on Rama 2 Road, now set to begin on February 15, 2026. This decision aims to reduce the potential impact on the public.
According to Thai News Agency, the initial start date for the traffic diversion was scheduled for February 11, 2026. However, EXAT has rescheduled the commencement to February 15, 2026, at 5:00 AM. The plan includes two phases of lane closures to facilitate the diversion.
In Phase 1, two main traffic lanes, both inbound and outbound, will be closed from Saengchan Brewery to Nakornthon Hospital. This phase is expected to run from February 15-22, 2026, or until the completion of the work.
Phase 2 involves the closure of two main traffic lanes, again both inbound and outbound, at the Bang Khun Thian interchange. This phase will extend from February 15, 2026, to June 15, 2069, or until the work is completed.
