EXIM Bank Extends Debt Relief Amid Southern Flood Crisis

Hat yai: EXIM Bank is providing crucial support to customers affected by the recent flood crisis in Hat Yai and the southern region by implementing a 30-day automatic debt extension measure alongside comprehensive assistance initiatives.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chalat Rattanabunnithi, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM BANK), stated that the bank is responding to the heavy rains causing flash floods and resulting in widespread damage, especially in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. EXIM BANK branches in this region are actively serving all customers and are now applying additional measures to reduce the financial burden on them.

The relief efforts include an automatic 30-day extension on both short-term and long-term loans, as well as on debt restructuring loans due in December 2025. This extension aims to provide immediate aid to clients in areas identified by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) as affected by the floods. This measure is particularly beneficial for those who may face challenges in contacting the bank due to the crisis.
