Ranong: Following up on the expansion of efforts to reclaim forest land in Khao Pak Tiam, Ranong province, which had been encroached upon by illegal logging outside the claimed land title deeds (nearly 50 rai), and the progress in moving the confiscated timber for safekeeping to prevent further theft, today's operation resulted in the seizure of several tens of rai more forest land outside the designated deeds in the Khao Pak Tiam watershed area. According to Thai News Agency, the authorities are intensifying their crackdown on illegal activities in the region to protect the natural resources of the Khao Pak Tiam watershed. The recent operation underscores the ongoing commitment to reclaim forest land and safeguard it from further encroachment and exploitation. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to address environmental challenges and uphold legal frameworks governing land use in the area.
